FINALLY!!!!!! 😍🥰

I have wanted a pair of classic Mary Jane shoes for SOOOOOOOOO LOOOOOOONG!!!!! But being a 10 1/2 medium and needing something with no higher than 3 inch heels due to a low arch in my foot made them almost impossible to find. Then one day I saw a woman wearing a pair of shoes and ask her where she got one and she told me she got them from American Duchess. And I came across these shoes that are LITERALLY AN ANSWERED PRAYER!!! And best of all, they arrived, literally on my birthday in time for me to wear them out that evening. Not only did they perfectly accommodate my outfit, but were surprisingly comfortable all night long. There are no words to express how happy I am to have found these. The only thing that would make me happier would be a pair of the same shoes in a mood or camel color. 😉#justanidea

Love how they feel!!

So glad I finally bought these shoes. I’ve been debating for a while to buy them and I’m so I did!! They are incredibly comfortable and that’s a surprise to me!! I bought the button hook with the shoes. The hook makes it much faster and easier to get the shoe on. I wouldn’t recommend trying to use your hands or brut strength it won’t work. Use your brain and just get the button hook!! Thank you again American Duchess P.S now I’m hooked and will buy more of your shoes!!

Amazing shoes!

"Amazing" is not an overstatement. As I took these shoes out of the box I really hoped they would be as wearable as they were beautiful. Not only were they wearable, they may be the most comfortable pair of heeled shoes I have ever owned (right up there next to the Londoner Edwardian Oxfords I also ordered). I did purchase the buttonhook after reading the other reviews which I strongly recommend if you don't already have one kicking around somewhere. AD sent a "How to use a Buttonhook" video along with the delivery notification. It's super easy once you get the knack which doesn't take more than a few tries. These Mary Janes are beautiful, well-made, impossibly comfortable, and worth every penny.

So pretty!

I love the oxblood color & the styling and lines of these shoes are incredible. I will say that the strap was VERY stiff on the first buckle, but has loosened. The front edge of the shoe is a bit stiff too, and will require some breaking in, but they are well worth it. I love my ruby slippers!

Wanted theses soooo bad, but alas not meant to be!

Ordered these and waited anxiously for them to arrive. Pulled them out of the box and slipped them on, then cried. Usually width is an issue for me due to wide feet (metatarsal area) and med size bunions from figure staying. This time issue was the strap. I have high arched and high instep. Strap would not reach to even try and button them, about 1/2” - 3/4” too short. Soo unfortunately back they go! 🥺

Hi Faith,

Were you using a button hook when attempting to button your Anna Mays? All our button shoes are designed to fit snugly, so usually when people think that they can't button their shoes because they think the strap won't reach, that's usually because they're trying to button the shoes with their fingers. If you use a button hook, you'll most likely find that there's plenty of room to button the shoes, there just wasn't enough room for your fingers. ;) While it's not impossible to do up the buttons without one, it's much, much easier. We recommend a button hook for all of our button shoes.
