The flappers knew how to have fun with footwear, and the Lilith vintage flapper t-strap sandals pay homage to that spirit. Made in luminous satin paired with metallic leather and rhinestones, the Lilith flapper shoes are closely based on an original celadon green and silver pair in the Shoe Icons museum. These gorgeous shoes are accurate for the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s, and offer our refined and stable 2.5 in / 6.3 cm Spanish heel paired with open d'orsay sides and an almond toe with cutouts on the vamp.

Wedding shoes - so many compliments!

I wore these shoes for my wedding and they were perfect! Our colors included teal and copper and we were going for an art deco-inspired look, so these shoes were a no-brainer. They fit as expected and were absolutely beautiful. I am not someone who is used to wearing heels and I didn't break these in for fear of ruining their pristine condition before the most photographed day of my life, so they did get uncomfortable after a while. That said, they were no more uncomfy than any other heels I've worn. So many people asked me where I got them and I was delighted to tell them about AD! Thanks for adding just one more perfect detail to one of the greatest days of my life! I'll definitely be back!

Fantastic comfortable heels

I wore these shoes for my wedding and they were amazing. Super comfortable. I didn’t get blisters or sore feet all evening, and I wore them for almost 10 hours, including dancing and tromping around in a field for photos. I got a ton of compliments on how they looked too.

The first heels in which I can actually walk.

These shoes were a perfect match both style and color wise for my vintage 1930s wedding dress. They were also super easy to walk in, and I am usually incapable of properly walking in heels.

I was queen for the day!

I was so happy to get these! I wear a true 9.5 and these are a perfect fit. As a Southerner I typically wear flip flops most of the year so I was concerned that these might hurt my feet. But I wore them to an important event recently and was in them for 8 hours straight, with quite a bit of walking and they were quite comfortable. I had MANY inquiries from other women about where I got the gorgeous shoes, and they had never seen any so beautiful. Thank you American Duchess. I will be buying more from you in the near future.

Iconic

I've never seen another pair of shoes with such stunning colors. I was concerned when I first wore them out, because I found that they pinched in the ball of my foot, and were tight around my heel, but they've ended up adjusting to my feet very well over a pretty short period of time. They're light-weight, incredibly unique, and so well made. Be patient in breaking them in, these shoes are so fun to wear once they've been worn a couple of times.
