Bronte Slippers (Black Cherry)

Everything arrived very quickly and in great shape. I haven't worn the beautiful shoes & stockings yet, but they look and fit great. I regularly wear size 8 1/2 or 9 and I made the right choice to order a 9 for this bronte slipper style. I appreciate the little treat included with my order.

They are beautifully made, very comfortable. I could see myself wearing & being completely fine dancing the night away.

My shoe size fluctuates between an 8 and and 8.5, so I originally got them in an 8. They turned out to be too small for me (unsurprisingly), so I traded them for a half size up. They fit wonderfully, though the top of the seam at the heal is a bit hard, its nothing some breaking in and padding won't fix. Other than that, they're extremely comfortable and I dont think I'll be taking them off for a while!

Also, the return and replacement process was simply divine! It was so easy and the new pair shipped just a quickly as the first! (They also gave me a little candy with the second pair.)

I was tentative about slippers because of the shape of my feet, plus my first sewing foray outside of 1920s-1940s, but these shoes came through like a champ. My only complaint would be that the leather could be a little softer, BUT they did not give me blisters on my first wearing, so they are acing every other leather ballet flat I've owned.

The Brontë's are so lovely to wear, comfortable and flexible on my feet. I did choose to order a half size smaller than normal to make sure they fitted with out slipping off at the heels, which I do find a problem with ballet flats quite often. Especially as I have smallish narrow feet. The 7.5 US fit like a dream and is equivalent to a UK 4 1/2.
I absolutely love the delicate almost neutral skintone pink colour that I've got. I'm looking forward to taking them to Bath this September for the Jane Austen Festival 2025
