Rosie Vintage Double-Buckle Boots (Tan)
Description
This product is on Last Chance final sale and non-returnable.
We're pleased to welcome back the Rosie Double-Buckle Boots for women! This classic vintage design is a standard for the 1930s well into the 1960s, and is based on World War II double-buckle combat boots as well as the civilian version readily available in catalogs at the time.
The new Rosie boots are made in heavy, durable cowhide, half-lined in textile, with a built-up, round toe and very relaxed fit. They lace-up through sturdy metal eyelets and close with an adjustable buckle flap for ankle and lower-leg protection. We've also added rubber soles with a heavy tread, making the new Rosie boots a great choice for all weather, all terrain, all seasons.

Great absolutely love these shoes!!!
These boots are sturdy and exuberate female confidence! The colour is a lovely warm burgundy with an elegant shine. The toe box is roomy and ideal to wear with warm winter socks. One small point of critique: they take quite a long time to mold to your ankle. Before they are molded, they rub the ankle a bit. However, I bought them on sale, and they are worth every cent, as they will last for years to come.
So glad I took the chance and bought these boots. I was web searching WW2 era shoes for living history events. I'm very wary about buying shoes online - 11's way too big, 10's way too small and no 10.5 available. I really liked the look of these boots, the fact they are leather. They were on last chance at half price so I took the chance on 11's. So happy with these: good fit right out of the box & so pleased with the look and quality. I've been wearing these everyday. I did have some chafing on my little toe after a 3 mile walk but think that will go away the longer I wear these. I really like the style with the side buckles even though it takes a little longer to fasten the boots. I typically wear med weight wool (ie: Darn tough/Smartwool) crew hiking socks. The boots tend to be a little higher than the sock top. (I'm 5'9" which may or not be relevant). It doen't really rub, but I'm just more comfortable with sock layer between leather and skin and I'm still wearing these boots everyday. They really keep my feet warm even as temps here are dropping to the 30s. I tend to be outside for my job. Only small complaint is the soles under the balls of my feet seem thin so I put in gel shoe liner.
These are so comfortable immediately that I can't wait to see how marvelous they feel 6 months from now. I often like a wide, but I thought I'd give these a try. They are just fine. They have a nice roomy toe box, which I need.
A friend of mine went wild over them when she saw them, and I think she'll be getting a pair.
I purchased this model in brown as a "daily adventurer look" and I absolutely love them. They took about two weeks of casually wearing them at home for a few hours every day before wearing them out, but once I did, only winter made me change footwear hahaha. I suggest putting a thin working sole in them for more comfort (once I did that with mine, they got a lot more cozy). The style is combat-like without being too chunky, I love the details with the buckle and the ankle support. The leather is definitely on a thinner side (about 4-5 oz maybe ?) so they're not warm, but I greatly appreciate the sturdy, actual stitching. I can rest easy and not be scared to walk a lot and having the sole of my footwear randomly detaching from the rest of the shoe, like those fast-fashion ones (where the "stiching" is really just molded there for decoration)...
Anyway, I am considering getting them in black as well eventually. Hoping they won't run out for my size any time soon ! 🤞
