These gorgeous shoes are accurate for the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s, and offer our refined and stable 2.5 in / 6.3 cm Spanish heel paired with open sides and an almond toe.

These shoes are so gorgeous and elegant, as well as comfortable — I ordered my usual size and they fit like a glove. The heel is perfectly centered as always with American Duchess shoes so they're actually wearable despite the height. With a button hook they were fairly easy to put on, although my left size shoe still proved a bit tough, but the button hook is absolutely necessary. I can't wait to wear them out..

I've been eyeing these for several years and have wanted a "T-strap" basically since I found out they existed and I've never found modern shoes that compare. The embroidery is so beautiful, it brought me to tears! I also love that as per usual they come with 2 extra heel caps, but the extra button was a nice touch. I got lucky because for me they are a perfect fit (snug w/o being uncomfortable)... I have a slightly wider foot than average but not enough to need a wide, so it is a little tricky to get my foot in, but once there its like they were painted on. For length, I'm technically a 7.5 on paper, but I always wear an 8 to give my toes room. I got these in an 8 and the toes are snugger than my usual preference, but not too uncomfortable for me beacuse I have really short toes. I haven't gotten a chance to wear them all day yet, but I had another pair of American Duchess boots I wore for over 12 hours on my wedding with no issues. 😀
This was my very first purchase from American Duchess shoes and I am beyond happy with my decision. Being an avid historical costumer and collector, I have wanted a pair of American Duchess shoes for awhile and finally got these as a college graduation gift to myself. These shoes are not only comfortable, but beautifully crafted from the leather to the satin to the embroidery. They even make you feel guilty wearing them outside because of their beauty. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone seeking a vintage, yet formal shoe for church, outings or weddings. They are durable enough for walking and the heel is a perfect height. The coloring is beautiful and goes with almost any spring/summer dress. I am so pleased with this purchase and look forward to owning another pair of American Duchess shoes when I am able!

Go 1/2 size bigger to accommodate your toes since they are a little tight across .
The button is difficult to fasten and I had to really work the opening with a Bobby pin to open it up so the button would go through it.
We do recommend using a button hook for all our button shoes, even if the shoes only have one button like the Daisy.
