Our pink and white Clocked Silk Stockings are  the perfect addition to your Georgian wardobe.  These historically correct silk over-the-knee stockings are a beautiful soft pink with knit-in white clocked design on both sides of the leg. These stockings are exclusively designed and sold by American Duchess, and are sure to add that something extra to your period attire.

Made with 98% top quality dyeable silk, these gorgeous stockings come up above the knee, and will keep your legs cool in the summer, and warm in the winter.  Ladies will enjoy excellent fit and an authentic 18th century design only available from American Duchess.

See our tutorial about how to seam the stockings or to reduce excess footage for small feet. If your legs are wider than the max stretch listed below, cut the top band off, fold the edge and finish with loose zig-zag handstitches, and wear with a ribbon garter for an excellent historical touch!

Care instructions: Hand wash. Do not Bleach. Line-dry to protect the texture.

Luxury, heaven, perfect for daily wear

These were purchased for daily business wear, now just waiting for the black to be back in stock. At 5'9" and mostly leg but not overweight these come well above the knee and stay up all day long. Since they are a natural fiber, silk (like wool and cotton) they are both cool and warm. The pink is subtle and soft and every bit as versatile/usable as the ivory color for regular daily wear. And, they look fantastic with my Kedwardians and a knee length skirt! Many compliments have been received.

Stocking review

Pretty color, clocking detail is cool and they're warm and cozy. The only drawback is both stockings were torn- the right one was torn on the front and the left one was torn on the back. I'm not sure if they were torn when I first got them or if I caused it by pulling them too far up my leg? Either way, the tears are barely noticable and they don't make the stockings unwearable.

If your stockings arrived damaged, please reach out to us at info@americanduchess.com so that we can make it right! Do note that these stockings are designed with a faux 'seam' up the back of each, which functionally looks a bit like a dropped stitch all the way up. From your description, I think that this may be what you're seeing - you just have one stocking turned around so the faux seam is on the front.

These are so, so soft and comfortable, and the color is lovely. I wore them for the first time to a regency dance and they stayed up easily all evening long! I got them as a freebie when I ordered my Berties, but now, to be sure, I've ordered more of the American Duchess silk stockings. I need more of these in my future, in all different colors and styles! I highly recommend!

First, let me say these stayed up all by themselves. I lost both my garters while still getting ready around the hotel room and only knew when my mister found one and I hiked my skirts up to see my stockings were in place and the garters both gone. They're a little big on my feet (size 6 1/2-7) and a little loose in the ankles/calves, but I plan to take them in like the tutorial shows. I definitely recommend these! Even being a bit too large, they stayed up while on my feet all day without garters.

Such a smooth fit and today I wore them and accidentally lost one garter, but to my best surprise, the stocking held in place with its own elastic upper :)
