The Flora Boots are designed in collaboration with the Bata Shoe Museum. Every pair of shoes from the In Bloom collection benefits and supports The Bata Shoe Museum in their study, outreach, and conservation of historic footwear.
As a lace-up boot, Floras are very adjustable for a wide variety of ankle, calf, and instep measurements. The top of the Flora boots does not extend to the widest part of the calf muscle. Measurements scale a little based on size.
These measurements based on size 7.5:
Ankle range - 9 to 13 inches / 22.8 cm to 33 cm
Shaft height - 7.8 inches / 20 cm
Boot top range - 9.4 to 13.4 inches / 24 to 34 cm
Tongue width - 4.5 inches / 11.5 cm

I've had my eyes on these shoes since forever, and finally pulled the trigger when they went on sale. They are even more beautiful in person than they are in the photographs.
As for fit, I am typically a Size 9. These are my very first pair of shoes from American Dutchess, so I was rather nervous about getting the right fit. I sized up to a 9.5, and was glad I did. My foot (as you can see), is not quite wide, but it certainly isn't narrow, either. With the 9.5, I have enough room to comfortably wear the cotton stockings I purchased with the boots, and then some. The way the boots tie, they are secure enough that they do not slide around my foot. So I reccomend sizing up a half size (if your foot is anything like mine; I have an average arch, by the way).
On that note, it is also necessary to unlace them down to halfway (at minimum) to put them on and/or take them off (much like Dr. Marten's, for example), so do be patient with them. They are worth the trouble :)
These went perfectly with my wedding dress and I received numerous compliments on them! I had planned to change into platform hightops for the reception but these were so comfortable I wore them the entire day and evening
