Spectacular, showstopping, incredible

These shoes are now some of my favorites. They fit perfectly and they're incredibly comfortable. Coming from American Duchess, this comes as no surprise. They're gorgeous and I plan on wearing them to Pride.

STYLISH QUALITY

Sale price was still a splurge, but a chance to own excellent leather shoes. I purchased a size 12, chancing that my usual size 11 might be too snug in the narrow toe box. Glad I did. Excellent fit and comfort, right out of the box. Wore them right away, walking city streets on the way to an opera performance. I had given up heels, opting for chunky platform styles for even dress occasions. But these add a lovely touch of elegance as well as stylish comport. I love this Edwardian heel. No uncomfortable teetering; a very secure step. The historic design elevates my funky, colorful wardrobe, but would work styling a cos-playing witch. Favorite shoe purchase of the year from someone constantly chasing comfort in new styles.

Love + 1/2 ♥️

I ordered Lucille in my standard size 7.5 to wear to 50th annual Dickens on the Strand. I added a cushion insert, and wore them around the house for 2 evenings to ‘break them in’ a bit before the event.
Yes, they are beautiful with an accent of luxurious velvet. However, within 2 hours my toes were quite sore. Most likely due to the tapered toe box. Perhaps if I had ordered 1/2 size larger? (As it is my personal experience with French designer shoes, and the sizing modification yields a proper fit.)
Next time, I will place an order for 2 pairs (1 in my size, and 1 a 1/2 size larger), and immediately return the one that does not fit. It is after all the risk when shopping online.
I do recommend the shoe, but be mindful of that toe box.

Gorgeous and comfortable

I have to start off by saying I am SO SAD the navy/white color is being discontinued! I've been saving up for them, specifically, for a while, and just bought them on sale. They are stunning--the white is white not ivory (yes, I spray stain-proofed them immediately!) and really pops against the dark navy blue. The contrast of textures is nice, too. So gorgeous with chocolate brown, burgundy, gray, or dark green outfits--and with blue jeans! The toes are pretty pointy, so for people who are unused to that or who are unused to breaking in real leather shoes, I would highly recommend sizing up 1/2 size. If that's not an option for you, just remember that real leather stretches with wear, and they will fit your feet (like a glove seems the wrong metaphor here...) with a bit of use. I also suspect folks with wide feet will want shoe stretchers for these, but I have pretty narrow feet and can't speak to that. The heels are way more comfortable than I expected--I like heels but have to be careful due to genetically bad knees. These are truly "well-balanced" as advertised. Definitely would recommend. Wish I could afford another pair!

Perfection

When I first found AD, I knew I needed Oxfords and specifically black ones to go with my witchy looks! The pre-order opened for these and I jumped on them! So I have actually been wearing these for quite a while now! And they are just perfect. They go with everything, the velvet parts subtly pop and add character, they have gradually softened to my feet... I'm so in love with them! Because I don't wear them super regularly, they still have some more breaking in to do, but I plan to help that along with the shoe stretch spray! My feet are right at the 10 inch line between 9 and 9.5, so I went with 9.5. I also have TECHNICALLY regular B width feet, but they are also right at the line between regular and needing a letter width up, so finding perfectly comfortable shoes for me is always an ordeal lol. My big toe is the longest of the bunch, if that also helps. So while my toes do feel a bit crowded sometimes, I think these are the correct size and just need a little stretch in the toe box. If I went with a 10, the rest of the shoe would be too loose on my feet! All this just to help anyone who might also have my annoying feet :) Anyway, I love these and can't wait to own some more AD shoes!
