Comfort and Style

As a curator and reenactor, I've worn American Duchess shoes for years. These are now my absolute favorite! They fit well right out of the box. Buckles went on easily, and the construction is just lovely. I couldn't be more pleased with them! I also noticed that they had excellent traction and felt very sturdy. I will have to purchase at least one other color now!

So comfortable!

I've been struggling with the beautiful high heels and my toes hurt after only a few hours of wear (to the point of debilitation), but I wore these to an event (without wearing them in, mind you), and my feet were so happy with me! The backs of my heels were rubbed a bit sore at the very end of the day, but that's my fault for not wearing them in. The top layer of leather did get worn off already, it was a damp day with some gravel, but I'll have my shoer put rubber grippy soles on them (as I usually do) and they'll last me really well.
Very pleased with these, and so, so happy I could still walk at the end of the day!
