Description

Rubber Non-Slip Sole Protector Pads offer safety and durability for shoes with leather soles, in wet, rough, or slick conditions. Easy to apply, these self-adhesive pads can be cut to size and placed on any part of the shoe's soles, for added grip and to greatly prolong the life of any leather-soled shoes.

  • Rubber
  • Approximately 3.5 x 2.5 inches / 8.8 x 6.3 cm
  • Self-adhesive backing - just peel and stick
  • Replace as necessary
  • Cut to size or shape for custom placement
  • Tan (shade of tan and grip pattern may vary from images)

For best results:

  1. Remove any dirt from sole with damp cloth
  2. With a rubber sole, also lightly wipe with alcohol to remove any residue
  3. Remove self-adhesive back and apply to clean, smooth sole and heat with hairdryer
  4. Apply firm pressure to sole protector while warm
  5. Leave for 24 hours to cure

Keep in mind that extreme high temperatures may cause the adhesive to loosen - if you're going to be walking on hot asphalt in a heat wave, a half or full rubber sole applied by a cobbler is going to be a better choice!

*Sold in Pairs, above price is for one pair.

The size and texture of these sole protectors may vary from batch to batch.

Came off after one day of walking

Possible I got a faulty one but mine came off after one day of city walking. The adhesive stayed on the shoe but the rubber came off of the adhesive. Also I don't think this size is that helpful for everyday use it's probably better to get the entire shoe rubberized.

Good, but don't last forever.

These work pretty well, but they do wear out after a year or so of regular use. Inexpensive, so I'm happy to buy them once a year. Easy application and a nice friction to keep you from slipping and protect your soles. I never wear AD shoes without them.

Works fine as a temporary solution, doesn’t hold up to everyday wear

I was nervous about the traction on my new leather soled shoes so purchases these along with them. They definitely help in terms of traction, but it doesn’t take long for them to start shifting around and breaking apart. Considering the price point, I really can’t complain much.

Great idea, Not for me

I have a tendency to pronate a bit when I walk. The sticky anti-slips slipped to the inside of the base of the shoe. I spent aWeek trimming little bits as they slipped to the medial exterior of the sole of the shoe.
I think they are perfect for a person with a perfect straight gait, but not for me.
I will also be looking for inserts on the shoes to support my foot differently. I don’t feel my ankle rolling (which I do in cheap shoes). Once that is corrected, I may try these again. I bought three sets hoping they would work on my now three pairs of loved American Duchess shoes.
