Not only are these extremely narrow even in a wide but they’re also short. The heel arrived with a string of plastic hanging off of it. I wanted to return immediately but because I stepped on the tiniest pebble trying them on (my house isn’t carpeted and they only let you try them on carpet) I wasn’t able to. Won’t buy from this company again, spending even more to get these stretched which is crazy because it’s already a very expensive, poorly sized, shoe.
We're sorry to hear these didn't work out for you! Our extensive trials and returns data shows that the wide is a true wide and fits most folks accordingly, but feet are complex 3D objects and no method of standard sizing can guarantee a fit for everyone! Pointy toed shoes are especially tricky for some types of wide feet; you may have better luck in a round toed style.
We do require that shoes be in their original condition with no signs of wear in order to be eligible for return - we highly suggest that shoes be tried on a clean carpet or towel to prevent them from being scuffed up by rocks, sand, dirt or rough surfaces.
I have never ordered from American Duchess before as most of their shoes don't come in wide and I have 4" wide feet. I needed a pair of these shoes for my daughter's wedding and saw that they now come in a wide pair. I was really worried about the pointed toe but when I tried them on they were quite comfortable and I didn't even need to break them in. Wore them all day with no issues or pain in my feet. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with wide feet. Just wish they would do all their shoes in a wide version as I would buy a lot more. I did get a half size larger.
I've been wanting a pair of these cherry Oxford shoes since I first saw them a few years ago. They do not disappoint. Wonderfully crafted, elegant and extremely comfortable especially on my very square feet. Thank you for the wide option.
My daughter loves these shoes. She bought the brown ones then saw the cherry red ones come on sale and wished she had waited for them. So I bought her the red ones and now she has both! She absolutely LOVES the shoes. The fit is perfect, the style is perfect and they're made with authentic leather and careful thought. They even supplied extra heals in case one wore down or broke off. I've never seen a company take so much care of their customers.
