Divine!

I have a wide foot, so I ordered one size up as I'd seen recommended on the website, and confirmed in previous reviews. I was exceedingly nervous spending so much on shoes I hadn't tried on, because my big feet have made many a shoe fitting an abject failure. BUT, I was absolutely delighted to find that my new boots fit like a glove and are very comfortable. I am beyond thrilled! So beautiful, and lots of admiring comments and requests to know where I purchased these beauties. Nice work, AD

My new favorites!

This is my second pair of AD shoes and I absolutely love them so much. The buttons took a bit of getting used to but it’s absolutely worth it! I got the boots one size larger since I have tall feet, and though they were still tight at first, they’ve become quite comfortable after the second/third wear. There’s definitely less adjustments you can make in comparison to lace-up boots but I still love them very much!

Amazing!!

After a VERY long time of wanting a pair of American Duchess shoes to go with my historical dresses and much debate on which pair would be best (I love them all), I finally gave in and chose these for their classic look. I was nervous about the fit since I have wide feet and shoes hardly ever work with me. I try my best to avoid purchasing shoes online because I always have to send them back. However, these were perfect! I am typically a size 8 but size up to a 9 if the shoes run small, and that was just the way to go. They don't pinch the width of my feet as most shoes do, and even though I sized up, I have just enough room in the heel and toe. If you have wide feet, definitely buy a size larger than you typically do.
A pricy investment, but entirely worth the money!

Manhattan review

These boots are simply lovely!! Really authentic and I love that there are no zippers or modern attributes to these fabulous boots. They look great with Victorian and Edwardian attire for period dress up events but equally well with modern vintage attire in the everyday wardrobe of romantics, sigh, you know who you are ladies
