Step into the Paris of the past in a gorgeous pair of Paris Boots. These incredible lace-up boots are direct reproductions of an original pair of Edwardian boots in our collection. They feature an almond-shaped toe with a sturdy sole and adjustable lace-up closure, paired with our attractive 1.6 inch / 4 cm Cuban heel.

Paris Boots are your all-day walking footwear for any occasion. Pair them with historic clothing of the 1890s, Edwardian and Great War periods, 1920s, and even 1930s and 1940s. So versatile is the Paris design that they'll look super cute with outfits both historical and modern.

As a lace-up boot, Paris Boots are very adjustable for a wide variety of ankle and instep measurements. The top of the Paris boots does not extend to the widest part of the calf muscle.

    Gorgeous perfect boots

The boots themselves are absolutely gorgeous-- everything about the design is perfection & exactly what I want in a shoe. They're well made, nice quality leather, & beautiful colors. I'm gonna end up buying 3 pairs & pray that AD never stops making these! Only reason I give 4 stars is because I had to make 2 returns to get the right size. I normally wear a 7/7.5. Initially bought AD shoes in a size 7, which were definitely too small, then exchanged for a 7.5 which were still sliiightly too small in the toe area (especially since it's a pointy shoe & I'd be wearing with socks). I went up to a 7.5 wide, which was perfect (even though I don't have particularly wide feet). If in-between sizes, I'd go a half size to full size up (or get a wide), unless you have narrow feet.

    Absolutely wonderful performance/dance boots!

I ordered the Paris Boot in size 10 (I'm a ladies US 9½) because of the reviews. Most said the toe box was a little tight in their true size. Most pointy shoes fit well for me in a half size up, so the decision to order a half size up was a good one. The 10s fit me like a glove!
These beauties are made with exceptionally high quality leather, extremely well made, and oh so comfy on the first wear. I'm thrilled with this company! I have found my favorite performance boots forever more. I will be ordering again.
The heel is not "stacked" leather, but is wrapped with leather around a plastic interior. To keep the heel from getting knicked and worn, I cut a piece of stick on sole protector to fit the heels bottom. Hopefully that keeps it from getting worn out and saves me a trip tho the cobbler.
Make sure you get these non slip sticker pads (Amazon etc.) because these are real leather soles. They are very slippery, so I felt I needed a little more grip on stage performing. (They'll last longer between sole repairs too) Also bought mink oil and applied that 3x for weather/ waterproofing. Gotta protect these lovelies as much as possible! I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!
    10 stars!

We're so glad you love the Paris! Note that there's a rubber heel cap already on the Paris boots, and an extra pair of heel caps in the box for when they wear down and need to be replaced- no need to put a sole protector on the heel itself, as the heel cap is already doing the job! (we do recommend for the leather sole if you want more grip, though!)

    Simple beauty

These have to be the most beautifully made boots I have ever owned. I have been a historical reenactor for over thirty years and I have gone through countless shoes and boots in that time. Not only are these perfect historically but they are clearly built to last and most importantly, they are so comfortable. The moment my foot went into that first boot I was sold for life. While I bought them for a simple work boot, they are some of the most beautiful investments I have ever made.

Practical information: I’m a size 7.5, I ordered a 7.5 regular. I have narrower feet but nothing too thin. These fit like they had a mold of my foot to make this shoe. One of my feet is slightly smaller and it isn’t bothered by a touch more wiggle room.

Even a wide can’t offset the confines of the pointy toes

I normally wear a size 7.5 (8 is consistently too large) which is what I ordered. While the boots are very well made, I was hoping that the new wide size would give enough room for my toes, but the toe box still comes in to a point too rapidly to allow room for my toes and both my big toe and my little toes are forced along the walls of the toe box. I am seeing (and feeling) the effects of wearing pointy toed shoes and it is getting increasingly detrimental to my feet.

We're sorry these didn't work for you! While we design our pointy toed styles to fit as wide a range of feet as possible, some feet just don't mix well with pointy shoes. It sounds like this may be your experience with pointy shoes in general, so for you, we'd recommend sticking with our rounder toed styles. Luckily we have lots, and you can filter by toe shape in the sidebar!
