Paris Women's Boots Wide (Black)

These boots are gorgeous and super comfy. And the smell, oh the wonderful smell of good leather that these shoes have. I ordered these to be worn as my wedding day shoes and they're going to look perfect with my dress. Definitely use your dress shoes as a reference point for sizing. I still went up half a size just to be safe and I don't regret it. I wear a 9.5 in tennis shoes and ordered a 10W and that fit wonderfully for me. The price is a little painful but these shoes are worth it.

...what true comfort and style were, before my foot entered this wonderful boot?! I truly had no idea; decades of wearing leather boots as a tallish trans woman with wide, asymmetrical feet had conditioned me to accept pain, shame, and compromise as the cost of my self expression. Such dark times! My feet *swam* in oversized doc martens when I wasn't stuffing them like sausage meat into pumps made woth only the daintiest of cissexual feet in mind.
No more, I say! For I have made a profound act of self love, and I have procured these boots for myself.
It is small hyperbole to say that when I put on these 10D 6" shaft Victorian boots, the world became perfect.
These boots were shipped promptly. The packaging is protective without presenting excessive waste, which is important to me! The boots themselves have Styrofoam inserts that I can use in place of a proper shoe tree, until I find a pair for these.
The leather is *smooth*, the stitching is *tight* the fit is *true*.
Look at me. Look into my eyes.
I promise you that *these boots are worth the price*

I never leave reviews but I had to this time! I have been wanting American Duchess shoes for years. When I heard they were releasing select wides shoes I was ecstatic and popped over to see which ones.

To my delight they not only had a wide but a 10.5W which is always a pain to find. After much debate I chose the black leather Paris boots to get started.

I pulled them out of the box and was immediately worried they would be too narrow. Probably nerves. After some work loosening the laces and getting my foot situated, they fit like an absolute dream. They’re fantastic work dresses and jeans alike and my feet felt great at the end of the day.

A few years back, I had started a small collection of American Duchess shoes, and they were my favorite shoes for both appearance and all day comfort. About 2 years ago, I sustained a foot ailment made all of my shoes excruciating to wear, so I had to put my collection away hoping that one day I'd be able to wear them again. When I saw AD was making wide width shoes, I jumped on the pre-order as fast as I could with the hopes this was the answer. I have wanted the Paris boot for years. I bought them in black and brown/tan colorway in a size 11W. When I received my package, I first admired their beauty then I tried them on... they were perfection. Since the day I received them, I have alternated them every day and I have worn no other shoe. No foot pain, and in fact, they are remarkably comfortable. I am so in love with these. There's no way I can replace my entire small AD collection, but I want to express my gratitude to AD for the wide width option. Thank you!
