Marilyn Vintage Pumps (Brown)

This company was recommended to me by a friend that works in theatre, costume and vintage dress reconstruction. I take his opinion seriously so I expected that AD would be pretty good, but I had no idea they were going to be so comfortable. It is refreshing to find shoes that are beautiful but also stable/wider across the bridge. These shoes make me feel sexy but also safe to dance in and go up and down steps with confidence. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a strong mature shoe that is both serious and beautiful.

I’ve been wanting to purchase from American Duchess for a while, with one of my friends absolutely raving about them. I had a 1950’s dress that I made from a vintage pattern and I wanted a shoe that would go with it. I also wanted a shoe I could potentially wear for work and this also matched what I was looking for. I typically wear a 9-9.5 and so I ordered the 9.5 in the Soft Ivory. It’s a beautiful shoe and pretty comfortable out of the box. I did have a gap in the toe box area between the vamp and my foot, so I just added an insole just to help take up some space and prevent my foot from sliding. It worked well and the shoe is fabulous! Beautiful color and workmanship too. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture but I can definitely recommend the Marilyn style. Some older reviews mentioned that the Ivory color is more yellow, but I did receive a true ivory/soft white color so AD did address that!

I was not expecting it to be sooooo comfortable. Absolutly in love. Will be ordering my second one soon

These shoes are a stunning vintage reproduction. They are perfect in looks and in fit. I am so happy with how comfortable they are to wear! If you have bbeen eyeing these, get yourself a pair. You won't be disappointed!

I absolutely love these! They are so classic! I usually wear a 10 and went with that size. They are a little large and slip in the back a bit but I feel if I went down to a 9.5 the toe would be too tight so I am just going to stuff a tissue in the front to fix the slipping. I love the way they look and compliment all my retro inspired outfits. Another win from American Duchess! This is my 4th style from them and I can't get over the craftmanship and gorgeous designs and they are so comfortable!
